CSI: Cultivating Student Interest
CSI (Cultivating Student Interest) Siloam Springs (Main Street Academy) is an action-packed, results-centered, practical session describing how to create a school-wide approach to presenting Social Development, Emotional Management and Life Skills Development through the use of student created Power Points, hands on activities, and small “squad” interaction.
It will show how to use the research-based SAFE (Sequential, Active, Focused and Explicit) paradigm to cultivate student interest in important aspects of the ALE Mission. The program will feature how to present your “mission”, getting students involved, activities that students really do, use of student created Power Points, and getting students to talk about, Relationships, Responsibility and Reality. Participants will leave with the energy, enthusiasm and expertise to do this at their ALE.
Greg Markovich
Greg Markovich is the Executive Director of Siloam Springs Schools Main Street Academy. For the past 25 years he has been a success coach working with students with untapped potential. His programs have literally impacted hundreds of ALE students and their parents.
Sadly, the co-presenter,
Ken Anderson
, Main Street Academy, Success Coach, passed away April 3 at the age of 33. His outstanding professional accomplishments and contributions will still be included in this presentation. Ken believed in "Pay it Forward" and therefore we will Pay It Forward.
