2009 Board Elections

Elections will be conducted during the convention in July.

Below are the offices and their job description.

2nd Vice-President

The 2nd Vice-President shall
  • Carry out all duties as assigned by the President
  • Perform the duties of the 1st Vice-President in the absence or inability of the 1st Vice-President to perform said duties.

Treasurer

The treasurer shall
  • Maintain financial records of the association
  • Collect dues
  • Pay all association bills
  • Order association pins to be presented at each installation of new officers
  • Serve as an ex-officio member with a Vote on the Executive Board
  • Serve as an ex-officio member of the Committee
  • Present a treasurer's report monthly to the Chapter
  • Report to the chapter names of members dropped for non-payment of dues
  • Keep the organization's financial records and perform the normal duties of a treasurer to include:
    1. The preparation of an annual budget to be presented to the Board
    2. The presentation of quarterly financial statements
    3. An annual accounting of revenues and expenditures
    4. Annual audit by a C.P.A

Secretary

The secretary shall
  • Record, maintain and distribute minutes of all meetings of the Association and the Executive Board
  • Maintain a current list of members and record attendance at meetings
  • Keep an inventory of association property and location and/or the members who have the property
  • Handle all correspondence as directed by the President and assist the Vice-President.

Reporter

The reporter shall
  • Plan, prepare and distribute a quarterly newsletter
  • Maintain the membership records as well as advertising and promoting the organization on a state-wide basis.

Parliamentarian

The Parliamentary Advisor shall
  • Serve as advisor in parliamentary matters
  • Serve on the Executive Board as an ex-officio member without a vote
  • Serve as chair of the Chapter Rules Committee.

*District Representative

  • Attend all board meetings
  • Develop a communication system within their elected districts
  • Represent the general membership
  • Shall support the activities and goals of the district and state association.
*The districts voted on are Districts 1,4,5 (Sally Pierce's position), 6, and 7. If you have any questions on counties involved, look at the state map showing the 8 districts.
